The purpose of this home page is to create an electronic library for the exclusive use of the blind. In order to avoid the violation of the law on copyrights, we have followed what has been previously done in Italy by the Ezio Galiano Foundation and by the F. Cavazza Institute of Bologna. Blind people are eligible to subscribe to the site by filling in a form which you can find by clicking on the link "Login" at the bottom of the home page and then on "Register now". Blind people will be authorized to access this electronic library after sending via fax the completed document required and the medical certificate attesting their complete blindness.

The peculiarity of this library is the fact that the texts comprised in it deal solely with the literature of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acarya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), with the literature of the previous Acaryas in the same line of disciplic succession, and with the literature of some disciples of His Divine Grace.

Besides this, there is a free part, which is not bound by the authentication requirements, that contains texts to download thanks to the kind concession by the BBT (Bhaktivedanta Book Trust International), which controls and coordinates the distribution of the Acarya's entire work.

The website is still in its developing stages and it is being constantly updated; come and visit us soon in order to gain access to the new contents. We shall never be grateful enough for the enthusiasm by which the BBT has always welcomed and encouraged our work, thus allowing us to practice that Sankirtana that is so dear to Srila Prabhupada.

As far as the format of the texts is concerned, with great regret we are compelled to leave out the diacritic marks of the Sanskrit language. We apologize for this to the BBT and to the subscribers, still, we know it is not possible to do otherwise, for these works are meant to be read by vocal synthesis such as: LOQUENDO, ELOQENCE and REAL SPEAK. As a matter of fact, these marks are not available on the set of characters present on the WINDOWS operating systems, therefore the synthesis would not read anything. The instructions regarding the Sanskrit writing are not present in the language set controlled by the standard vocal synthesis currently present on the market.

Inside the compressed ZIP archives we have divided the single works into smaller files in order to meet the desire of those who want to export them on palm and smart-phone devices spreading among the blind. By such devices, it is actually possible to vocalise files with a txt extension. We hope this choice will meet the approval of the blind. We finally offer our respectful obeisances to the ISKCON and BBT Founder-Acarya His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktvedanta Swami Prabhupada, who is very dear to Lord Krishna. By his love for the Lord he can enter the hearts of everyone. We pray to him so that many may be attracted by our insignificant work, still, if even only one creature will have access to this website this would be enough to justify its existence.

In this website you will find the sound versions both from the original Sanskrit text of the Bhagavad-gita and from the translation of its verses in English; we warmly advise whoever is interested in these files to give priority to the integral reading of the text file comprising of the entire "Bhagavad-gita as it is" by our Acarya Srila Prabhupada. Only the sense and the guidance impressed by the purports of the Acarya can fully give us back both the spirit and the meaning of this basic Vedic work.

As a matter of fact, only the Acarya can be accepted as the captain of the vessel on which whoever so desires can cross the difficult ocean of Kali, an age where everything and the opposite of everything live together bewildering us all.
